Cedarhurst Seniors in the Park
Once a month the Seniors enjoy an
afternoon of entertainment, socialization and the
refreshments presided over by our caring volunteers.
Major holidays are celebrated and discussed. Time required: Two hours, one Monday afternoon a
month.
Cell Phone Project
This project provides free cell
phones programmed for 911 calls only. Phones are
distributed to Seniors. Time required: Flexible hours are needed. Location: NCJW Office, Lawrence
Five Towns Senior Center
National Council of Jewish Women
volunteers provide entertainment and refreshments for
Seniors three Thursdays a month. Our volunteers take
part in planning programs and socializing with this
active and energetic group. Time required: 12:30 - 2:00 PM, 3 Thursdays a month. Location: 124 Franklin Place, Woodmere
Woodmere Health Related Facility Discussion Group
Volunteers are assigned to the
Nursing Home in Woodmere to lead discussions of current
topics of interest in an effort to stimulate their
minds. In addition, there are sing-a-longs and musical
programs. Volunteers must have kind heart for needy
residents. Time required: 10:00 - 100:00 AM Thursdays Location: 130 Irving Place, Woodmere

(JASA) Jewish
Association for Services to the Aged
Volunteers provide
entertainment and refreshments for active seniors at
JASA once a month. Transportation for volunteers is
provided for those who request it. Time required: 3 hours - one Thursday a month. Locations: 131 Beach 19th Street, Far Rockaway.

Inwood Senior Center
Volunteers provide
meaningful relationships and enriching experiences
through varying senior programs that include
entertainment, special social events, hospitality and
bingo. Time required: 1ス hours - one Tuesday a month Location: 270 Lawrence Avenue, Lawrence.
